Pure action movies are incompatible with the things you complained about, i.e. cheap tricks like putting Earth in danger anymore or the absence of patterns from TV Trek.
We don't need NEM or ST09 respectively the other extreme TMP. We need good movies and they won't come in next years as the cashcow strategy is very successful.
