You still watching SGU, Saq? I just can't get into that show. Every once in awhile they have a decent episode but everything is just so coma toast, nothing seems to happen. To me, speaking of BSG it seems that on SGU they're going for that dark, gritty depressing mood of BSG, but that's not Stargate. It just doesn't feel like stargate.
Man, I miss Atlantis!

I see what you're talking about in your spoiler but I disagree. That character was an evil disgusting bastard, they could've expressed that in other ways than showing him kill the kid but it certainly made the point. That was a straight to DVD release. I don't think they could show that on TV that graphically. They've aired The Plan and that scene is usually cut where it's still obvious what's happened but they don't show it. I suppose it's a matter of taste. Look at the Shakespeare play Titus Andronicus. This play is performed around the world and studied in colleges everywhere. In it, a woman is raped, her tongue cut out and then she is dismembered and branches of a tree forced in what's left of her arms. In addition two brothers are murdered, mutilated and put into a stew and then fed to their mother unbeknownst to her. Certainly Shakespeare's bloodiest and most violent play, but still considered a masterpiece and revered everywhere. Then there are the Greek tragedies. Anything in BSG is absolutely tame compared to these, but when murdering a child in cold blood is considered tame, you have a point. But by the same token there are many stories in the bible especially the old testament where this is common. Herod and the slaughter of the innocents, Lot being seduced by his own daughters, Abraham willing to kill his own son to appease God, though God is merciful in that instance and does not put Abraham through that. Regardless, I see your point, but anything that's happened in the BSG series is tame compared to the acts depicted in many of what are considered to be the greatest works of human canon so to speak.
