Look its not really much different from the Mirror universe. Nothing that happens in the mirror universe effects the other. This is like a Mirror universe except not slanted toward imperialism. I believe within that particular verse events that transpire within that verse can in fact effect that particular timelines flow. ex would be if Kirk and CO go back in time in there own particular verse they can also alter it, but somehow this singularity caused an event that caused Nero and Spock to cross verses rather than simply go back in time within there own.
