Does anyone actually believe this alternate timeline business?

I can't believe what I haven't seen yet. None of us know really how time travel and alternate time lines will fit into this story. I for one and looking forward to what is probably going to be a great Trek story. It has been so long, we really need one. And if this works and new movies are made, I don't care if the ships or gadgets look different. Star Trek will live on for more generations to enjoy. I have heard many non-fans say the trailer looks great. Lets get new viewers in the seats. Today's fans are not enough for sustained survival. We've seen opening weekend numbers crash and burn.

And leathart, don't be insulted bud. They didn't sit around a conference room table and scheme on ways to do cheap stunts or burn people. They sincerely want to revitalize Star Trek.
