Other than for a comedic moment, the 'beamed into the coolant stream' was over the top. The overall look of engineering was very down to Earth. Liked it.

Definitely Voyager for me. TNG was weak early on, but really grew into itself. DS9 was a darker version of the Trek 'verse, but (I felt) handled well. Voyager just.... felt like a Star Trek...

As long as it's enjoyable and 'trekish', it'll work for me. Canon as a rigid set of guides is part of what ran the franchise into the ground.

I think a mini-series or tv movie is the only way it'll happen. :/ I really felt, as others have said, that the show was on the right track at the end. Not counting the final episode, of course.

Love the original Constitution class, but the Sovereign class is just brutally powerful. Zephram Cochrane's "SWEET JESUS!" when the Enterprise eclipsed the sun was just priceless. Really hoping for...
