Short answer...yes!

Because if we are to revive the original series, its obviously going to be different. Sure DS9 and Enterprise episodes set on the origina "E" were fun, but they were more of a tribute than a reality...

I like several of the sequences in STIV...I remember that being a huge fan favorite, and as an experience, probably the best I had in a theater. Possibly the moment when the whale probe approaches...
