That's how a LOT of Hollywood movies are being show in IMAX, not just Star Trek. I recall seeing Spiderman 3 in IMAX and thinking it odd, but...still...it *was* a pretty cool experience.

I thought they were great. I always thought the beams took a lot of time and wouldn't be good in a "fire fight, per se.

I thought the pulses fit the story and the action better.
