Colonel Green/Khan rumor-mill

UPDATED: Between the casting of two British actors, Clarke earlier today, and now with Cumberbatch, this strongly suggests that one arc of the upcoming Star Trek movie will include the character of...

30-years for ''The Empire Strikes Back''

In thinking about the 30-years that have passed since we were all blown out of the theater by arguably the only other Star Wars film to live up to the legacy of the original, The Empire Strikes Back,...

While I enjoyed this last movie, not only for it's experimental value, but for it's big-budget treatment and box office success that proved Star Trek could be relevant to a wider audience, I have to...

Well for anyone confused where this topic went on the Star Trek Phase II forums, I was once again ''edited'' for some silly reason by ''someone'' with nothing better to do. This time and the topic...

It's been a rough week in Canada

It's been a hard week or so in Canada, and even harder for those left behind.

Let's hope all those affected find some peace with the knowledge that so many around the world are thinking of them...

To Walter and Julie

My most heartfelt condolences to you both. I have seen firsthand what losing a son in this tragic manner can do to parents. In our case it brought the family together stronger than ever and I hope...

The time has come to bash TOS (in a good-natured way of course)

Since the new movie has been the object of much bashing, some lightheartedly, some not, isn't it about time to even the score some?

This is going to be a rhetorical thread that isn't asking for real...

Kelvin fits perfectly

I think Kelvin easily fits in to the ''prime'' universe. It was never really dealt with in TOS or post-TOS so it was available to explore.

In my generation, there are still a lot of ''cling-on's''...

Hoth abuse

Hoth was a glaciated world. Delta Vega was a glaciated world. Rura Penthé was a glaciated asteroid.

But there again reinforces the reason that the Rura Penthé sequence might have been excised. Too...

The ''low point'' in the franchise

I don't think it's entirely fair to call Enterprise the ''low point'' in the franchise. Honestly I'd say the last movie Nemesis was, but even then, the phrase ''low point'' is a little harsh. Both...
