Future Starfleet Headquarters Established in San Francisco

Okay, this story speaks for itself:

Too bad it's not at the base of the Golden Gate Bridge. That could have doubled as Starfleet Headquarters.

Kudos on them using regeneration of dirty land and cleaining it up for rebuilding as oppose to ripping up unbuilt on land instead.

Second - I think the designers might have taken more than a passing look at some future Starfleet architecture!

Though the UN/UFP emblem helps that along.

I'm definitely impressed with both the idea and the architecture, although something tells me that this will be cut down due to delays and either running over-budget or budget-cuts.

agreed. we dont need to run along with crappy projects like this anyways, especially now!

Yeah, coz cleaning up a heavily polluted site is just no fun when you can just leave it a dump?

$20 million seems like a bargain for such an impressive building. Especially if that includes clearing up the heavily contaminated ground as well.

That was not my point. I think it's an excellent idea, I just hope they know what they're getting into with the toxic dump. Usually such project run into trouble and get behind schedule and over budget.

Well still, Tax dollars (Where the Heck else does funding for the UN come from?) will be spent in big bucks for this project. Unless you can tell me where else they get they're money, i hate this idea.

You don't have to like it. It's not your decision. You just have to deal with it.

Dude, that's just half the price of your favourite airplane. If they really can clean the place and build that lovely piece of architecture for 20''$, it is a worthwhile investment.
