patrick stewart has right as usual

http://trekweb.com/articles/2009/06/...ek-Movie.shtml

and an expert from it

"Yesterday, I took my grandchildren to see the new Star Trek movie. There were three movie trailers, one for the new Terminator movie, one for the new Harry Potter and one for a Pixar animated movie. All the trailers sounded and looked the same. Full of standardised levels of noise, violence and special effects and I thought, 'My God, nothing would attract me to any of these'.

how right this exceptional theatrical actor has,all these movies he describe are nonsense

well done patrick

Sounds like sour grapes. As much as I love Patrick as an actor, he's gotten pretty angry towards Trek in the last several years. You would think he'd be more greatful considering it made him a household name after being a charater actor since the late 1960's

i dont think nemesis has anything to do with it,the man speaks his opinion and i agree with him

I've seen the trailer for UP a few times and I don't recall any violence.

Pixar don't do "standardisation".

But, outside of an X Men movie can you name a film he was in that made big box office in the last 10 years?

I think his sour grapes are directed at Harry Potter.
he is just about the only Brit not in any of those.

a household name he may be, but I've never seen him in a truely great role.
he is kind of like Anthony Hopkins and Judi Dench - no big deal really.

I don't judge a movie by the box office myself, but I cannot name any good role at all.
