questions about Wolverine - comics and movie *SPOILERS*
Hi,
I saw Wolverine yesterday (the movie not the mutant). Damn fine movie. I enjoyed it a lot. I like the first two X-Men movies because they made superhero movies respectable after those Batman films, but I find they lack rewatchability because they concentrate too much on the drama at the expense of action and fun. But WOLVERINE got the mix right. I would have prefered if more time was taken to tell his "history" rather than just the opening credits and Patrick Stewart's make up/digital makeover was fairly bad - the bald head and voice were sufficient, the close up of the "young" face was unnecessary. However, I have some questions about WOLVERINE in both the movie and comics:
I know a brief google would get me the answers but where is the fun in that???:D |
Well I will tell you what I Know:
Question 1: No the first Mutan in the Marvel Universe in Subnamor (called the first mutan by marvel)But is should be Apocalypse. Question 2: No they are not brothers in the comic Question 3: I have no idea Question 4: They age very slowly (eventally he dies in the comics) Question 5:Stryker did not know. In the books the Adimantium process was the one that made him forget who he was Question 6:Victor has nothing to do with Logan's childhood. |
***SPOILER***
I did not like the new movie. They went the wrong way with Deadpool. Like why was he all cut up when he had a healing factor (don't give me the he did not have the healing factor prior bs). The movie was great up to the last 30 minutes. There were 100s of BG mutants from the marvel universe to go with as the big BG (bad guy) ender. They did not need to give Deadpool a bunch of other mutant's powers. It was pathetic. |

I read online that the scenes that showed during credit were different on different cuts of the movie. (Dumb in my opinion.) I really didn't care for the movie. To many other mutants to be his ORIGIN Story. It would have been a bit more interesting to show some of the wars instead.
ON a side note I was VERY disapointed about GAMBIT the accent was there for him to say hi and then gone. The powers weren't quite the same as the comics either. |

in regards to Question 5 - in the movie an old scientist gives Stryker a gun and Adimantium bullets saying its the only thing that can kill Logan now. near the end a young scientist tells Stryker that even Adimantium bullets can't kill him. Stryker agrees but says out of the blue that Logan will never regain his memories if shot in the head. :confused1: |
