For those who have seen the movie: Which ship looks better. Kelvin or Enterprise?

I can't decide.

I chose the Enterprise, but it is so damn close.

The Enterprise works far better than the preview images would have you believe.

An unfair vote - the Kelvin is such a great ship. But the Enterprise is even better!

Saquist 05-07-2009 11:51 AM

Kelvin...easy peeze chicken squeezie.

kevin 05-07-2009 11:52 AM

I was gonna give her a sympathy vote - at least someone did.

I've seen enough of both to know I much prefer the Kelvin, actually, despite her having that needless "0" in her registry number...

The design is more historically accurate...

It looks like it could have been a precursor to the "real" Constitution class...

The bridge design looks more like something set between ENT and the TOS Movies...

That fits, given they are from the original universe.

The only thing that I think looks weird(I don't necessarily hate it), is the nacelle that is bigger than the entire enginnering section. But I guess it would have to be though. Since there's only one nacelle instead of the usual two or three I guess one giant one is a good fit.

If you turn your head upside down with that picture I does look like the Enterprise with one nacelle.

Saquist, Zim, PLEEEEEEEAASE tell us your opinion of the Tobias Richter 5 minute tech demo.

starbase63 05-07-2009 12:09 PM

Richter did a "what if" rendering of what a Connie might have looked like using the parts of the Kelvin...it's pretty cool...

See, I like that ship - but not as a Constitution. Maybe a larger vessel like a pre-Excelsior class style.
