Any Lost in Space Fans?

Being a passionate fan of Star Trek, I have always loved, I also love Lost in Space. When I was much younger, I was hooked on watching Space family Robinson every Wed night. I had the Robot toy and a model Jupiter 2. I do have the Johnny LIghtning toys of Jupiter 2, the Pod, and of course the Robot. I used to get plastic saucers from my Moms cabinet and glue them together and make a Jupiter 2! (I'm sure I was the only one to ever do that;) Yes, the episodes have not stood up like Trek has. Yes there was much more cheese, but I still could relate to Will Robinson lost in space!!! Anyone else?

I think the first six episodes or so, back when Dr. Smith was a bloodthirsty saboteur, and they were re-using the footage from the original "No Where To Hide" pilot, are some of the best science fiction TV ever created.

Sure. They could have worked a bit harder on the science aspect, but the show (back in it's early B&W days) has some wonderful mood. The music, by Johnny (John) Williams, still thrills me down to my toes!

Too bad it slipped into being outright kiddie fare shortly thereafter. I think there are only 2 episodes that I really cared for, after it went to color... that being the "Antimatter Man" and "Visit to a Hostile Planet".

I liked it.
Wouldn't mind if they would do reruns sometime

I liked the show and I liked the movie they made a few years ago (for the most part). Surely you heard the rumors of a person that liked it. I was the one.:D They almost had a good sci-fi flick there.

As far as the movie goes... they did a good job, but they REALLY needed to scale back on that script. Tossing the "lost in space" elements in with time travel just made for one confusing bit of eye candy...

But, any movie that gave us Lacey Chabert can't be all bad...

The main problems I had with the movie were 1) the cutesy little CGI alien pet thing and 2) Matt (whom I usually like- a lot) LaBlanc. His Don West just didn't do it for me. I think I'm just jealous of any guy that gets to spend quality time with Heather Graham:sad:(ya see 'cause it shoulda been me!)

But other than those two things I thought the movie great. Great effects. Fine actors. Interesting story. I really wish it'd been more successful.

Loved LOST IN SPACE when I was younger. Have a few items: DVD Box Set, Johnny Lightning Die Casts, Polar Lights B9.
