What pictures my we use on our sites?
 

May we use some pictures in our social network site profiles? If yes, which? Screenshots from the trailers/clips? Wallpapers and gallery pictures from the official website? Or are they all completely copyrighted?

You can use any official gallery images or wallpapers on your community sites. Just please link back to the official site wherever possible.

You can sign-up for the webmaster program from the official site if you want high resolution versions of the approved images.

I have signed up some 4 times back then, but was rejected again and again. I deleted the site after that. What I mean now is something like facebook, myspace, etc. profile pictures or ICQ avatar pictures. Since I don't own the social network sites, but only have profiles there, this doesn't make me a webmaster.

It actually does qualify you. You may have been rejected accidentally, if you PM me your info I'll add you manually and PM you back your username and password.

Why can we not do Facebook backrounds like on MYSPACE??

Because Facebook > Myspace

Facebook is really to just have a place to connect with people, Myspace is a place to have a flash profile and lots of unnecessary drama.
