My Friend Saw The Trek Trailer Last Night

She Said She Loves Star Wars And It Is A Better Trailer, And She Wouldn't Go See The New Movie, Until Now!
I Interviewed Her:

She Says " It Was Good" ( College)

Did It Appeal To You?

Yes.

Did It Look " Un Geeky? ( Popular Culture)

I looked more like Star Wars. At first, She Thought " Man I Thought They Were Done With Star Wars Movies."

Did It Make You Have The " I Need To See This" INfluence?

Sort Of. My Friend Influenced Me Too ( I Haven't Met Her Freiend, And IAlready Like Her Because She Likes This Movie)

What Did You Think When You Saw The Words Star Trek Pop Up On The Screen?

I Was Disappointed At First, Oh, This Is STAR TREK????
But Then I Started To Like It.

What Did You Think Of The FX And Graphics?

They Were Cool.

THE END!

Wow, For a person pledgeing To never see it, amazing! ( She Is Going To See It now, Even Though She Admitted It Was A long Wait)

Is she 2 year old with no cable/satellite TV? Difficult not to run into repeats of some version of Trek on TV.

There is a joke that has been around probably as long as Star Trek... "What do humans and Romulans have in common? They both goto Uranus to pick up Klingons" We all know the joke, but I asked most of the staff in my office if they knew what a Romulan was, and most had no clue. I asked why did you laugh? Most had no answer, just laughing at the "butt" joke part, perhaps thinking Klingon ment "Cling-On"... So not EVERYONE knows about ST - perhaps J.J. is on the right track to bring unity to the world of ST. I asked my sister if she knew what a Jedi was, she said "I dunno, isn't that Spock guy a jedi or something?" At least she's heard the name "Spock" but thats it, and she's only 28. I asked my mom if she knew what the Enterprise was, she said "Yeah, its the first space shuttle! - See I know a little about spaceships!" I just laughed, she's 55. There are still all generations who have missed out!

J.J. will educate the world!

This only proves the movie will bad ...
If he is taking a familar fomula like Star Wars it only says Paramount has completely abandoned Trek.

Hey as long as no mystical voice is telling Kirk to "use the force", I'm okay with it. :001_tongue:

Irvin Kershner said prior to directing Empire Strikes Back, that he was a big Star Trek fan... and we all know how Empire turned out... Let J.J. have his run, then we can cast judgment!
