Forum only available for US?
 

Suddenly, when I try to reach http://www.startrekmovie.com, I am automatically linked to http://www.startrekmovie.com/intl/de/, which has NO LINK to this forum or anything else except the downloads.
So how can people from the rest of the world (non-US) reach this forum if they don't already know of it?
Also, how can all these other people watch the US trailer that we expect in Nov?

Good observation NCC. First time I saw the German version of the teaser and another reason for watching everything in the English original, comparing that boring voice to Nimoy's :)
Hopefully the navigation will be improved such that one can reach the forums as well as the English teaser and next month the trailer.

Your very observant, yes we did recently make this change redirecting, but to answer the question posed in the subject header, the forum is open to worldwide users, but is currently only being linked to from certain countries.

This is done because StarTrekMovie.com is being used globally and we want to make sure people in worldwide countries get the local version of the site.

You can always get to the forums by going to http://www.startrekmovie.com/forums/ globally (only the root domain and index page cause this redirect), but I will mention the issue about linking to the forums on the international sites to that team. Thanks for bringing it up!

Hmm... I tried that link (just as an experiment) and got the message that it was causing Adobe Flash Player to play slowly and if I didn't abort it might crash my system!

But my internet connection is just crap like that sometimes, so not that worried. I'm just gonna wait for the movie to come out.

...For which I bet everyone's going to post spoilers before I get a chance to see because NZ release is almost always a couple / few months behind the American.

One way is to move to the U.S. :patriot: All kidding aside, one of the things about these forums I've really enjoyed is connecting with fans in other countries and reading their views. I just never realized some of you had to jump through hoops to get on here.

Does the trailer hit the web before the theaters? Maybe it will be before a movie opening around that time in your country.
