Thinking about doing a small part to save the environment?

Here's a funny video that may make you think twice about getting a Smart Car, if you're considering one...

Why would it make me think twice? The car stood up damn well for being driven into a concrete wall at 70 MPH! (The chances of surviving ANY crash in any car at those speeds is pretty minimal.) If anything, the video has made me admire the SMART car more, since it's passenger cage survived as well as it did! Good engineering! And they get almost 60 MPG?

PS mainstream auto manufactuers do crash tests at lower (in town) speeds, topping out around 40 or 50. Beyond that, there's no point.

Think twice about getting a smart car? Honestly, I haven't even thought once about it.
