I would not want to see that, 9 minutes is too much.

Sounds suspicious. Either no villain revealed in the first 9 minutes or a major sub plot is revealed, a battle with Klingons perhaps.

I remember The Dark Knight Rises preview was no longer attached to Mission Impossible by the time I went to see it in IMAX.

How long is the window usually for these sort of things? Opening night? Or maybe the first week?

I've heard that too. Few screenings at the most.

I was sure a trailer would be attached to Skyfall. I figured "what else is left this year... The Hobbit? Surely that one's too high-brow for... huh-huh... Star Trek."

It seems I was wrong.

Was SKYFALL in IMAX?

No idea. I haven't seen it yet, and I haven't looked it up. It's been getting a lot of advertising in IMAX theaters (especially around the time of Prometheus), and it's playing here at the Palms as Skyfall: The Imax Experience. But neither of those actually means anything in terms of aspect ratio or format.

I just thought in general that Skyfall would be the most likely big budget movie on which to splice the ST trailer. Completely regardless of either IMAX or sneak previews that are nine minutes long.

I likely won't see it because I've never yet been to IMAX and I'm not even sure if it would flow across to the UK.

I still thought a proper trailer would debut around the Thanskgiving weekend holiday when a lot of folks are out and about but I would have thought by December at the latest.

I agree....a nine minute trailer is wayyyy too much.
