I went to see this today and it was actually pretty interesting and enjoyable. Some shades of the likes of Terminator/Twelve Monkeys and some other sci-fi films but not to any detriment.

I'll check that one out on DVD, it looks interesting.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe the younger hero in the movie played in the new Battlestar Galactica series as one of the Cylons. He was the PR guy in the miniseries who was revealed as a humaniform Cylon.

I never thought about it at the time, but I can see why you might have thought that at first.

Indeed he did look strikingly similar to the actor that played Doral in BSG...but, that actor is older. :)

I heard they gave him some prosthetics to make him look more like Bruce Willis

Yeah I think that was the reason. I found it a little distracting at times but that would probably fade on rewatches of it.
