7 Minutes of Terror: Landing NASA’s Curiosity Rover on Mars
A must see video!
Got to admire the people that design this stuff! http://www.wired.com/geekdad/2012/06...tories+2%29%29 |
Has to be one the best videos from JPL I've EVER Seen.
It literally just topped my chart. |

Very impressive video, the whole concept of the landing process looks like something out a movie, would be amazing to see it land as a bistander.
Really hoping it goes without a hitch! |
Very exaggerated with that kind of soundtrack, but still nice :D
|
No not quite exaggerated.
Perhaps few can appreciate the suspense of a decade of work launch and transit culminating into a do or die moment on atmospheric interface, but I see it as nothing more than exhilarating...perhaps even heart stopping. It's the end of a journey one way or another but the beginning of mission if it succeeds. This is a profession. This is where millions of Dollars, thousands of hours or meticulous planning and scheduling come to fruition. |
