Astronomers Discover Galaxy They Thought Couldn’t Exist
http://www.wired.com/wiredscience/20...tories+2%29%29
Adding to the object’s strangeness, a mysterious arc of blue light was seen just behind the galaxy cluster. Astronomers think this indicates another massive star-forming galaxy located even further away at an even earlier epoch. |
This sort of thing perplexes me.
They say the hubble deep field was the furthers we'e seen into the cosmos at an 11 day exposure 13 billion light years.. We see a field full of galaxies and yet... They tell us they've seen beyond where galaxy formed...a hydrogen cloud from the begining that obscures our view. A bit confusing how they've seen these structures if the HUDF is the longest exposure to date. |
Don't understand a hell of a lot myself! Amazing stuff though!

With Gravitational lensing its a bit of a question of how many of those galaxies we see are real.

When Hubble sees all these Galaxies it could literally be just like that. We don't know how many of those Galaxies are just reflections. |
Gonnnnnnnggggggggggg!!!!!
<---steps out in his Zen monk outfit All things are reflections. All reflections are illusions. All illusions are dreams. All dreams are boats following a stream. That stream is life. And it is a stream we must row along, ever so gently, and thrice gladly. Now, students.....can anyone contemplate the meaning of this Zen? Gonnnnnnnngggggggggg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <------sits cross legged in a meditative state. |

This image shows some obvious Gravitional Lensing Effects. The Ring of Galaxy smudges making a perfect circle because of a mass object in the middle causing light to take a longer trip around the sourse. But that's a more obvious effect. |
