Why is it so hard.... be straight forward? I make plans with someone yesterday and I ask them when they are free, and they tell me the afternoon. So, like any person would, I text them around 12:30 or so and I ask if they are down to hang out. Then, I go to the Facebook messenger and ask them if they want to hang out, and then the next thing they do it log out. Why all the pretense? I just find that fascinating. I mean, you plan on something and cancel other plans just to be tricked. But yeah, I'm glad this happened at 12 rather then 3 or something lol. Oh, well. I guess I can still enjoy this Sunday.

Let me guess: female? She's not interested if she does that. She probably already knew she didn't want to hang out, but gave you a vague answer as to when she was available because she couldn't think of a quick enough reason not to be. She didn't want to seem rude, even if it meant letting you waste your time so that you wouldn't be wasting hers.

Don't ask for an explanation from her and don't accept it if she gives it. You just castrate yourself.

Yeah, I guess you're right. It's just I would rather have the person come up with a lie. You know, the first thing that should have grabbed my attention, was when she said, "I don't have any money, sorry." And then I guess I made the dumb choice in replying, "I'll cover for you! Don't worry about it! But if you don't want to hang out, it's cool." You'd think that would give her the perfect opportunity to say, "I just don't want people paying for me." But no, what does she say? She says, "No, I want to hang out. Thanks!" So, we agree for this afternoon but she never got back to me lol. I'm like, wow.

I prefer it when people tell the truth.
It's easy and cuts out alot of bull.
When a woman does this...I know she's for me.

This is a pet hate of mine, getting in touch with someone who initially says yes then bails on you later, essentially stopping you from doing anything else productive with your day if you're waiting for them them and being simply bad manners.

I feel incredibly guilty and apologetic when I fail someone like that, some people just don't seem to care, or at the very least must be ignorant to how irritating and rude it is.

Yeah, because non-stop when someone does that to them... Now hold on, that's a different story.:nopity: I just find it petty and glad you guys know what I'm talking about.

Oh, yeah, had a chick stand me up three times in a row, each time vowing that we would get together for whatever date she'd set up....then, she'd never call. I dumped her act like a bad habit. Three strikes is all you get with me-- if you're lucky.

She's one of the reasons why I find it so hard to use the words "woman" and "truth" in the same sentence, unless there are some negative qualifiers somewhere in between.

As the mobster in A Bronx Tale said, you're only allowed three great women in your lifetime.

I dunno. If I want someone to play with me, I tie a steak around my neck.

4 legged friends are best.

Indeed. We have three of them around the homestead...two canines and one feline. Oh, the feline cops an attitude on occasion, as felines are wont to do, but overall, he's a loyal and loving little guy.
