That's interesting I sought of thought of these things as stationary, ie moving at the same rate as the rest of the expanding universe.

Because Galaxies collide regularly it's possible. They can certainly determine if the momentum is enough to fling a singularity into a huge elliptical orbit or absolutely free of a merger. Keep it up. This is my regular daily study habbits on astronomy.
