Why wasn't Nero wearing his Romulan tabi boots at the Klingon Prison Planet?
 
When Nero is being interrogated by the Klingons in the deleted scene, he's not wearing his signature split toe Ninja boots. It looks like socks or something.

Why isn't Nero wearing his Romulan tabi?

He's a prisoner right? His boots have been taken for scientific study to see if they can be adapted for Klingon use?

I bet that the Narada was really just a means of stealthily dumping a surplus of them onto the 23rd century.
