*SaQ bows for a moment of silence*

I just heard this and was going to start a thread. I've read quite a few of his books. Certainly a great loss, but he had a full life. I was also sad hearing about Anthony Minghella.

Damn, thats too bad.The man knew how to write a good story.

Gary Seven 03-18-2008 04:53 PM

He has a better view now.

Very nice, Gary, very nice! I bet he would like that.

I remeber the first time I read 2001...
Such an incredible premise for a 12 year old to grasp.

Sadness....he wrote my absolute favorite Science Fiction book Rendezvous With Rama...but, he lived a full and long life, he changed how people think... There's nothing really to grieve... as has been said, he has a better view now.

"My God! It's full of stars!" How classic a science fiction line is that? He will be sorely missed.
