Its interesting to note that it looks a lot like the phaser used in Galaxy Quest!

Which in turn looks like the weapons from some of the TOS films (such as TSFS)..................it's all a bit of a roundabout, really.

QMx has started to ship Phasers. From their FB page:

"Yep! The whole crew is working through the weekend to get these out the door. Hopefully we'll be caught up on preorders early next week and they can be "officially" available"!

And I found out last night that my son's ordered one for me for my birthday!
