And now, my improved Cylon Centurions...
Once I figure out how to smooth out the dome on the helmets they'll look even better.
The scanning eye was done with video overlay on their eye track. All armor fashioned in Blender, and then attached to a solid black avatar in iClone.

needs moar flares :p

martok2112 12-30-2010 09:26 AM

LOL! Now now, do I want to just wear 17 flares and do the bare minimum to get by? Or do I want 1125 flares like JJ, and show I'm willing to go the distance on the job? :D

Helmets smoothed out...thanks to a hint from Gizmo at the Reallusion forums: (Now featuring slacker friendly, flare-free environments) :D

Nice again............are the corridors old style BSG ones or just your creation?

martok2112 01-01-2011 09:44 AM

Thank you, Kevin. :)
Actually the corridors are content that I'd purchased from the Reallusion Content Store, part of the Sci-Fi Interiors package. Some setups were inspired by certain actual sci-fi movies and shows. For example, the window that the Command Centurion is standing in front of was clearly inspired by the Star Destroyer bridge windows from The Empire Strikes Back.

They also have a Starship Construction package that has some parts inspired by Star Trek, Star Wars, and Buck Rogers in the 25th Century.

The ships I've been doing lately though have been completely fabricated by me in Blender. :)

Yeah, I thought the windows were a little Star Destroyer like but I couldn't remember BSG itself enough to recall what the Basestar interiors were like in the 70s version of the show.

martok2112 01-03-2011 12:01 AM

I think the battlestar and basestar interiors were redresses of each other....very angular and dim. My interiors are not accurate...and moreso my redesign. I think my Galactica bridge is accurate in layout only.
