If JJ's sequel is about "KHAN", will it be as good as the original or better?

Your optimism is commendable! I think it would be done well, but who wants to see Kahn again?

Where is the "it will be stupid" option?? Or at least a "not as good" option.

I don't. We're likely only going to get two more movies with the current creative team (and then maybe a couple of the people will stick around for movies 4 and 5, which won't perform as well as 1-3 anyway). Don't waste these movies on Khan.

I'm sure JJ will do a movie about Khan and it will be explosive. JJ's movies are a roller coaster of non stop action. Khan fits the bill nicely and JJ's already given us a taste of what to expect in the first.

I dunno, like others I'd still prefer to see some 'exploring strange new worlds' rather than a re-tread of an earlier episode. Khan's a human villain - part of this world, rather than anything remotely alien; he's also a 'time traveler' of sorts too, thanks to being cryogenically frozen for centuries, which further detracts from the originality of any potential Khan story.

I'm not saying that it can't happen or can't be good - after all, I thought "time-traveling Romulan pirate from the future" sounded daft the first time I heard it - but for me, Trek should be about more than just humans fighting other humans in space.

No more Khan please do something new.

I think he probably (but not certainly) won't do Khan again: it'd be too much 'your father's Star Trek'. Why go up against the most popular ST movie when there's a whole galaxy of other adventures to be had.
